The nose is fruity and delicately spicy. It expresses notes of morello cherry, wild strawberry, red cherry, dried cranberries, raspberry and blackcurrant. There are also notes of fresh peppermint, cornflower, violet and a subtle spicy side (licorice, cloves, vanilla), as well as a touch of roasted hazelnut in the background. On the palate, there is firmness, a tight tannin structure and fine, but dry tannins. The wine expresses fruity, ripe and tangy notes (red cherry, raspberry, fresh strawberry, blackcurrant), a subtle floral and spicy side (violet, black pepper, licorice). A lively acidity helps soften a tight structure and the astringency of tannins, but overall, the wine is rather closed. A powerful structure, but the fruity substance is restrained.
