On the nose, offers power, freshness and a fine grain. It reveals notes of ripe/fresh wild black currant, ripe/fresh black berries and more lightly pulpy raspberry, plum combined with fine touches of cherry blossom, violet as well as discreet hints of licorice and a subtle hint of nutmeg. On the palate, fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, fine concentration, very fine creaminess and tension. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, bursting/creamy berries and more slightly crushed raspberry combined with hints of black plum, licorice as well as hints of caramelization, toastiness, hazelnut and a discreet hint of vanilla. The tannins are well conducted. Good length.
