The nose is spicy, offering a certain depth, a little elegant austerity and notes of black pepper. It reveals notes of red berries, cassis and small notes of smoke, associated with touches of tobacco, camphor as well as a hint of clove. The palate is well-built, supple and accuracy. It offers a tangy frame, tension, gourmandise, a nice little fat in control, a nice energy, a nice acidity and a finely tight tannic frame. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, cassis and small notes of brilliant red berries, associated with touches of tobacco, nutmeg, as well as hints of licorice and chocolate. Nice definition and gourmandise. A fine varietal hint on the finish/persistence.
