The nose is fruity and offers power, intensity and harmony. There are notes of black berries, bright blackcurrant and, more slightly, violet plum, combined with hints of roasted red berries, a touch of lilac and a discreet hint of fresh pepper and fresh tobacco. The palate is fruity, tight-knit and offers freshness, acidity, some tension, juiciness and energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, juicy/ripe cherry and more slightly violet combined with hints of blackcurrant, violet plum as well as a hint of blueberry, cardamom, a subtle hint of fresh blond tobacco and a discreet hint of noble varietal. The tannins are supple. Mellow on the finish/persistence.
