The nose is floral and reveals some spice. There are notes of fresh boysenberry, crisp wild strawberry and a hint of rose/purple combined with fine spice, a hint of serenity and a touch of fresh tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, some juiciness, acidity, volume and a fine saline character. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright red currant and more lightly fresh lilac combined with hints of fresh cherry, fine notes of fresh liquorice stick and a subtle hint of star anise and spice. Good length. The tannins are precise.
