Château Duplessis 2021 – Moulis en Médoc

On the nose there are notes of liquorice, vanilla and slightly crushed blackcurrant combined with hints of black tea, press wine and fine racy minerality, crushed strawberry, a discreet hint of pepper and a subtle touch of fresh tobacco. The palate reveals juiciness, minerality, freshness, good definition, precision, stretch and guidance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of concentrated blackcurrant, crushed blueberry and more lightly fleshy/pulpy strawberry combined with hints of blackberry liqueur as well as hints of liquorice, camphor, bourbon vanilla, fine nuances of toasted hazelnut and toasted almond. The tannins are fine and mellow.
