The nose is fruity, with notes of liquorice and has a fine creaminess. There are notes of crushed blackberry, crushed violet plum, combined with hints of fairly ripe berries and a fine touch of liquorice. The palate is fruity, racy, very tightly wound and offers freshness, minerality, an acidic frame and a certain richness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/juicy black berries and more slightly of blackcurrant, tart raspberry as well as fine hints of liquorice stick, toastiness and a subtle touch of vanilla. The tannins are racy and very finely firm.
