Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 2018 – Saint-Julien

The nose is fruity, elegant, well-built and offers a fine concentration, a fine richness as well as a beautifule elegance. It reveals notes of ripe/fleshy cassis, fleshy/ripe strawberry and smal notes of ripe wild blackberry associated with touches of violet, ripe/fleshy red berries, liquorice as well as discreet hints of tonka bean, gravels (terroir), tea and toasted. Beautiful aromatic range and finesse of the grain ! The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, elegant and offers juiciness, a beautiful definition, volupness, a beautiful finesse, tension, a good freshness as well as a beautiful mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notesof juicy blackberry, fleshy/juicy red berries and small notes of fleshy/juicy raspberry associated with fine touches of liquorice, chocolat, violet/cornflower, discreet hints of liquorice, minerality as well as an imperceptible hint of tea, spices and cardamom. Tannins are fine, elegant and structuring. Good length. A beautiful wine !
