The nose is spicy, finely grained. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, wild strawberry and, to a lesser extent, dark berries, combined with touches of racy minerality, zan, discreet hints of sweet spices and a subtle hint of fresh blond tobacco. The palate shows minerality, freshness, some volume, mineral backbone, fine tension and roundness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, creamy black berries and, more slightly, pulpy raspberry, combined with hints of liquorice, nutmeg, fine touches of black tea, toasted hazelnut/almond, tonka bean and caramelisation (in the background). Good length. The tannins are fine and mellow.
