The wine has a deep ruby color. On the nose, it expresses notes of morello cherry, blackcurrant, black plum, prunes, and crushed strawberry as well as fine touches of blackcurrant leaf, mint, black pepper, clove and liquorice. On the palate, the attack is open and juicy, the wine expresses flavors of morello cherry, quetsche, red plum, strawberry, red cherry, kirsch, and roasted almond, as well as a fresh touch of dried mint, liquorice and a very light meaty note in the background. The tannins are firm, with a fine texture. Nice freshness in the middle of the palate and on the finish with crunchy red fruits and a lively acidity. Good balance overall.
