The nose is concentrated, nicely aromatic and offers power, finesse, gourmandise as well as a slight freshness, a slight intensity and elegance. It reveals notes of blackberry, crushed plum and slight hints of wild strawberry, cassis combined with subtle hints of gray pepper, caramelized oak, almond as well as a subtle hint of minty liquorice and Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, a bit aerial and offers juiciness, a mineral frame, a slight acidity, a nice definition / expression, depthness as well as a beautiful guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy redcurrants and slight notes of crushed cassis combined with a hint of fresh Gariguette strawberry as well as slight touches of terroir (granite), vanilla/wood, cardamom and liquorice. Tannins are well-built, fine and elegant. Good length.
