Château du Grand Ormeau 2015 – Lalande-de-Pomerol

The nose is fruity, juicy, aromatic and gourmand. It need to be put in carafe. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, blueberry and strawberry associated with hints of cassis jam, sweet spices, cardamon as well as a subtle hint of mocha and cornflower. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built and offers a nice juiciness, an acid frame, suavity, a fine elegance, gourmandise, tension and a good definition. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy redcurrant, juicy blueberries and wild berries combined with a touch of fresh Gariguette strawberry as well as touches of licorice, toasted oak, dark chocolate and a subtle touch of caramel / cardamom. Tannins are fine and straight. Good length and persistence.
