The wine offers a brilliant pale ruby color. The nose is expressive and offers pronounced spicy and woody aromas: coffee, toast, ground cloves, licorice as well as a touch of vanilla in the background. It then reveals sweet notes of cocoa, with a refreshing hint of mint in chocolate. The fruity, dense and ripe material: we find notes of juicy black fruits (griotte, wild blackberry, crushed blueberry), associated with notes of tangy red fruits (bigarreau cherry, crushed raspberry, strawberry, elderberry) and a fragrant floral bouquet (rose, iris, rosehip, wildflowers). There is also a fine touch of fresh aromatic herbs in the background (cut rosemary, wild mint). On the palate, the attack is open, fruity (even with a slight sweetness) and tasty. It expresses notes of juicy morello cherry, red cherry jam, red currant jelly, wild strawberry, blackberry and blueberry, combined with savory and spicy touches of roasted meat, cumin, cloves, liquorice, as well as cocoa and mint chocolate. We also find notes of flowers (iris, rose, wild flowers). The tannins have good structure and a fine, velvety texture. Good length, fruity and gourmand, combined with a pleasant acidity.
