Château du Courlat – Cuvée Jean-Baptiste 2024 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The nose offers fruit, a certain intensity (even a fine power) and a fine freshness. There are notes of small wild black fruits, black pepper and small notes of cornflower, associated with fine touches of wild strawberry, as well as fine hints of spices. The palate is well-built, supple, precise, well-balanced and offers precision, suppleness, minerality, a certain silkiness, a little fat and a tangy frame. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, violet and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of pulpy raspberry, hints of small juicy/ripe fruits, licorice, as well as fine hints of lilac and chocolate. Lovely gourmandise and definition. Good length. Freshness, silkiness and a certain brilliance.
