Château du Courlat – Cuvée Jean-Baptiste 2020 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

Château du Courlat – Cuvée Jean-Baptiste 2020 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The nose is aromatic, spicy and offers freshness, certain fullness and some power. There are notes of violet, lily and, more slightly, camphor, combined with hints of blackberry and cubeb pepper, as well as a fine touch of blueberry and star anise. The palate is fresh, mineral and offers roundness, energy, dynamism, accuracy and a fine tightness in its intensity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/juicy blackberry, raspberry and more slightly fresh/crunchy red berries combined with hints of star anise, chocolate and a subtle hint of lily (in the background) and a discreet varietal hint in the background. Nice freshness.
