The nose is fruity and offers a certain power as well as a delicate concentration. There are notes of fleshy strawberry, ripe cherry and, more slightly, pulpy blackberry, combined with hints of violet, lily, as well as fine points of nutmeg, cardamom and a discreet hint of toastiness. The palate is fruity, balanced and discreetly tight, revealing minerality, good definition, a certain gourmandize, an acidic spine, tension and a fine fleshiness. On the palate this wine expresses fleshy/juicy raspberry, fleshy cherry and more lightly blueberry notes combined with hints of blackcurrant as well as fine liquorice and a hint of mocha/vanilla. Good length. The tannins are precise and smooth.
