The nose is fruity, with a certain deepness and brightness of fruit. It reveals notes of boysenberry, crushed cassis and pulpy morello cherry, associated with touches of roasted strawberry, as well as hints of star anise, lilac and a fine touch of nutmeg/spice. The palate is nicely mineral, fresh, juicy and supple, with brightness and gourmandise. The frame is tangy, marked by tension, precision, brilliance and a hint of elegant darkness. In mouth this wine expresses notes of pulpy cassis, crushed raspberry and small notes of bright strawberry, associated with touches of small roasted fruits, as well as fine hints of cornflower, sweet blond tobacco and cocoa. Tannins are sapid, fresh and finely sappy. Good length.
