The nose is racy, finely restrained. There are notes of racy minerality, tobacco and, more slightly, graphite combined with touches of pulpy blackcurrant, violet plum and, more slightly, liquorice, a touch of zan, black tea and camphor. The palate is marked by the press wine and reveals freshness, minerality, juiciness, good definition, fine tension, concentration that retains acidity and precision. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and more lightly liquorice notes combined with delicate touches of vanillin/vanilla, bright red berries as well as fine hints of sweet blond tobacco, a subtle touch of nutmeg and almond. The tannins are well managed, supple and smooth.
