Château Donissan 2018 – Listrac-Médoc

The nose is fruity and offers a fine richenss as well as gourmandize. It reveals notes of crushed strawberry, pulpy cassis and small notes of violet associated with touches of vanilla, cherry, small blue fruits as well as hints of liquorice, vanilla, a discreet hint of cornflower and Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, structured and offers juiciness, gourmandize as well as suavity, freshness, a bright fruit, tension and a slightly tight/dry tannic frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cassis, pulpy/juicy cherry and small notes of raspberry associated with touches of Boysen berry, vanilla as well as hints of coffee, chocolate and a very discreet hint of hazelnut. Good length. Tannins are slightly marked/dry. A powerful persistence.
