The nose is aromatic, spicy and offers concentration. There are notes of blackberry, pepper and slightly wild blackcurrant combined with hints of clove and hints of almond and vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced and reveals minerality, a juicy/mineral structure, good definition, some gourmandize and fine concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed red currant, raspberry and more slightly juicy/pulpy blackcurrant combined with hints of vanilla, fine nuances of sweet blond tobacco and fine notes of chocolate. The tannins are well-managed. Some mellowness, a fine touch of positive bitterness in the background.
