Château Doisy Védrines 2022 – Barsac, Grand Cru Classé de Sauternes

The nose is precise, racy, frank, aromatic and offers a certain breadth of the aromatic palette. We find notes of ripe/frank kumquat, crushed vine peach and small notes of crushed apple associated with touches of roasted pineapple as well as hints of verbena, a subtle hint of sage and discreet hints of spices. The palate is beautifully built, racy, gourmand, delicate as well as all in accuracy and control. Unctuosity in delicacy and control, full of balance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied lychee, candied peach and small notes of crushed apple associated with touches of roasted pineapple, hints of crystallized marmalade, fine hints of verbena, cypress as well as a subtle hint of vanilla and pâtisseries. A hint of small dried fruits / dried apricot on the persistence.
