Château Doisy-Daëne 2018 – Sauternes-Barsac

The nose is fruity, elegant and fresh. It reveals notes of kumquat, massepain and small notes of fresh/ripe citrus associated with touches of zests, fresh pineapple, discreet hints of apple as well as subtle hints of apple flowers, vanilla, an imperceptible hint of honey and sweet spices. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, an acidulous frame, a beautiful gourmandize as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied/cristallized lemon, fresh/ pineapple in syrup and small notes of juicy kumquat associated with fine touches of vine peach, a hint of quince, honey/bee wax and a very discreet hint of spices. Peps on the finish. There is a hint of candied mirabelle, a varietal hint as well as a discreet hint of vanilla on the persistence. A beautiful wine !
