Château Doisy-Daëne 2010 – Barsac, 2nd Grand Cru Classé

The nose is aromatic, beautifully racy and offers a beautiful finesse of elegance, intensity and a very beautiful finesse. It reveals notes of crystallized lemon, kumquat, small notes of mandarine associated with fine touches of fresh orange, fresh lychee as well as very fine hints of almond, acacia flowers, nutmeg, spices and an imperceptible hint of lemon flowers (in the background). The palate is beautifully racy, well-balanced, aery and offers a beautiful finesse, a fine acidulous frame as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain, richness (full of subtility) and a beautiful delicate/subtlety soft touch. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crystallized lemon, mandarine, small notes of kumquat associated with fine touches of juicy vine peach as well as fine hints of quenette/juicy lychee, almond, nutmeg, very fine hints of fresh hazelnut and white flowers/acacia flowers. Good length. A beautiful persistence on notes of toasted almond.
