Château d’Issan 2022 – Margaux Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, fresh, pulpy and offers a certain concentration, a fine straightness, a little maceration side. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy violet plum, fleshy raspberry and more slightly – small crushed red fruits, associated with fine touches of roasted fruits as well as hints of star anise, fresh/iodized gravel, hints of sweet blond tobacco and has a very discreet hint of warm sap in the background. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, suppleness and subtlety in its straightness. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, pulpy/fleshy raspberry and more slightly – small, bright/fresh fruits associated with touches of blueberry, pulpy/juicy plum, as well as hints of cornflower, cardamom, licorice, chocolate, vanilla, salinity/iodine. Harmony, silkiness, power in its freshness and a certain straightness/class. Iron fist in a velvet glove. The tannins are velvety, elegant, racy. Gourmandise.
