The nose is expressive, fruity, tangy and offers a certain concentration. We find notes of red cherry, morello cherry, crushed raspberry and fresh red currant, associated with a woody hint (fresh wood, even pine sap), toasted and spicy notes (liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper), as well as with a touch of wild rose and dried mint in the background. The palate expresses notes of tangy fruits (blackcurrant, morello cherry, raspberry, red currant), associated with a tannic and bitter hint of bird cherry, as well as a touch of liquorice, white pepper and dried mint. The tannins are grippy, with good bitterness. The finish is quite persistent and sapid, with a gourmand chocolate touch, which balances the tannic structure.
