The nose is quite aromatic and relatively powerful. It reveals notes of blackberry and cassis associated with fine touches of undergrowth, leather and a hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, gourmande, sleek, well-balanced, racy and offers fat as well as a fleshy and a bit unctuous matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and juicy strawberry associated with slight notes of blueberry, cornflower, flint, cassis buds, violets as well as fine touches of zan and tobacco. Tannins are fine, ripe and well-built. Good length.
