Château D’Estroyes – La Sente aux Grives 2019 – Mercurey 1er Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant, delicate, beautifully structured and offers a little floral side. It reveals notes of crushed cherry, crushed purple plum and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of liquorice, Bourbon vanilla as well as discreet hints of camphor, lilac and sweet spices / green cardamom. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, a beautiful acidulous frame, a good definition and a certain gourmandize full of finesse / elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, crushed cherry and small notes of pulpy / creamy blue plum associated with touches of cassis, strawberry as well as discreet hints of lilac, green cardamom and a subtle hint of vanilla pod. Tannins are fine, elegant and delicate. A beautiful, sapid / saline persistence with a subtle hint of sweet blond tobacco.
