The nose is fragrant, expressive, spicy and woody. It expresses notes of fresh oak, toasted wood, liquorice and cumin on the first nose, which combine with aromas of tangy fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry, red cherry), peppermint, liquorice, and fresh peony. The palate is tight on attack, and expresses the firm and slightly drying tannins. The mid-palate brings a certain balance with notes of juicy fruit (morello cherry, red cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry), woody touches (fresh wood), spicy notes (liquorice, cumin) and a hint of menthol. The finish is tannic, slightly bitter, with medium persistence. Nice salivating acidity.
