Château des Rochers 2022 – Lussac Saint-Emilion

The nose offers fruit, a certain concentration of fruit, a small darkness as well as deepness. There are notes of wild cassis, crushed blackberry and small notes of crushed wild strawberry associated with a touch of zan, a hint of lily, flint, a very discreet hint of infusion as well as a subtle almost graphene hint and chocolate. A subtle almost aniseed hint. The palate is nicely fruity, fresh, mineral, gourmand and offers tension, precision as well as width. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/tangy cassis, pulpy blackberry and small notes of crushed red berries associated with hints of crunchy/tangy purple plum, fine floral hints, star anise as well as a subtle hint of almost anise, toast and chocolate. Good length. Suppleness, minerality, freshness and accessibility.
