Château des Laurets – Sélection parcellaire 2020 – Puisseguin Saint-Emilion

The nose is spicy, aromatic, precise, straightforward and offers tension as well as some airy power. There are notes of crunchy blackberry, black cherry and more slightly dense/juicy black berry fruit with hints of tobacco, camphor, blueberry and black pepper. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers minerality, acidity, precision, good definition, stretch and a certain finesse in its concentration. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, crunchy blackcurrant and, more slightly, blueberry, combined with hints of morello cherry, roasted red berries, chocolate, bourbon vanilla and a subtle hint of camphor (in the background). The tannins are racy and straightforward. Good length.
