Château des Jacques – Clos du Grand Carquelin 2022 – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is fruity, mineral, elegant, precise and offers a beautiful finesse and delicacy. There are notes of pulpy cherry, bright raspberry and small notes of blackberry associated with touches of small blue fruits and discreet hints of nutmeg and a subtle hint almost star anise. The mouth is beautifully fresh, fruity, balanced, delicate, gourmande, suave and offers an acidulous frame, suppleness, elegance as well as an aerial side. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ pulpy cherry, bright small red fruits and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of blue plum as well as hints of fresh flowers, lily as well as subtle hints of star anise and a discreet toasted hint and smoke. A subtle hint of almond. Beautiful delicacy and finesse. Hint of good bitters on the finish that lengthens the mouth. Racy minerality.
