Château des Jacques – Clos de Rochegrès 2022 – Moulin-à-Vent

Beautiful elegant, fruity nose that offers matter and a fine richness. There are notes of fleshy cherry, cherry pit and small notes of fresh small fruit associated with slight touches of fresh nutmeg and slight touches of cubeb pepper and cornflower. The mouth is beautifully fresh, mineral, ample and offers juiciness, a small creaminess, gourmandise, tension, volume, a good definition, a beautiful finesse and elegance of the wine, an aerial side and stretched matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of bigarreau cheery, fresh violet and small notes of juicy/ pulpy blueberry associated with touches of fresh/ juicy small red fruits as well as hints of liquorice stick, cardamom and a subtle toasted hint and an imperceptible almost Bourbon vanilla hint (in the background). Beautiful freshness and tension, suppleness and harmony. A hint of good bitterness on the finish/ persistence. A very discreet hint almost citrus fruits/ orange /peels on the finish/ persistence. Complexity.
