The wine needs to be decanted. The nose offers a powdery and peppery side. It reveals notes of boysenberry, bright raspberry, and small notes of concentrated/bright red berries associated with discreet hints of star anise, lilac, and Timut pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, suavity, minerality/a mineral frame, roundness, and a certain gourmandize. A tannic, structuring and discreetly tight structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy cassis, pulpy blackberry, and small notes of crushed strawberry associated with touches of tobacco, star anise, crushed raspberry as well as fine hints of chocolate, smoke, and a hint of clove. A very discreet hint of tobacco. Good length.
