The nose is fragrant and subtly spicy. On first nose, the wine offers warm notes of cinnamon, vanilla powder, bitter cocoa and toast, which are subsequently completed by touches of cut mint, licorice, violet and clove. On the nose, we also find notes of morello cherry, red cherry, blackcurrant, strawberry and black plum. On the palate, there is freshness and juiciness. The attack is open, fruity and fluid (in a good way), the mid-palate is closed and expresses the firm tannic structure of the wine. The tannins are grippy, a bit rough, with a very slight bitterness in the background. We find a nice concentration and a lot of fruit on the palate: notes of morello cherry, strawberry, red cherry and raspberry with touches of dried herbs (thyme, mint) and spices (clove, cinnamon, licorice). The finish is tight, tannic, moderately persistent, with a good level of acidity. Good structure and concentrated fruity substance on the palate.
