The nose is fruity and offers a fine concentration as well as a fine power. It reveals notes of cassis, pulpy wild blackberry, small notes of wild strawberry associated with touches of small black berries, liquorice stock, violet as well as a subtle hint of camphor and nutmeg. The palate is fruity, suave and offers freshness, a small gourmandize, a racy minerality as well as a fine acidulous frame, tension, a beautiful roundness and a silky touch. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, pulpy blackberry, small notes of fleshy strawberry associated with small touches of fleshy/juicy black plum, cornflower/violet, graphite as well as hints of toasted, a subtle hint of caramelization and chocolate. Tannins are well-built. A very discreet hint of chocolate in the persistence.
