The color is pale cherry with purple hint, the wine is limpid and shiny. The first nose is aromatic on the flower pot pourri as well as the undergrowth. The second nose is powerful and animal with leather and mushroom. There are some red fruits in the background. The attack is smooth and very floral. We have notes of rose and peony. But also spices such as pepper. Black fruits are present with blackberry and blackcurrant. The tannins are slightly dry bringing a little bitterness in the mid-palate. There is a nice freshness which allows the finish to last and to develop on notes of undergrowth, cherry and mushroom. It is a wine that has character and deserves a little aeration.
