Château de Vaucouleurs AOP Côtes de Provence 2019

Château de Vaucouleurs AOP Côtes de Provence 2019

The wine is limpid and shiny with a pale cherry color. The first nose is intriguing, fruity and fragrant. There are red fruits such as cherries but also citrus notes such as orange zest and pepper. It’s also a bit vegetal with some smoky green tea. With air, the second nose is more animal with leather but also smoke with mild tobacco. Some notes of undergrowth appear. The attack is fresh with rose and pepper. We quickly find the leather and the undergrowth. This leather is well drawn, pleasant, clean. There is sapidity, a hint of dark chocolate also which accompanies black fruits. The tannins are slightly catchy on the tongue but they contribute to the balance of this wine which has a nice acidity. The finish starts with black fruit with a flowery potpourri touch.
