Château de Valois 2024 – Pomerol

The nose is fresh, it offers fruit, spices, a certain energy and good definition. It reveals notes of boysenberry, violet, small ripe wild fruits, associated with touches of spices, a hint of maceron, zan, as well as discreet hints of sweet pepper, lilac and nutmeg. The palate is well-built, juicy, fresh and offers brightness, brilliance and a lovely definition and purity of fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of brilliant cassis, cherry and small notes of brilliant raspberry, combined with touches of lilac, cornflower, sweet tobacco, as well as a hint of toasted hazelnut and fine hints of chocolate in the background. Good length. Finely mellow tannins. Subtle firmness on the finish. A nice little tangy frame.
