The nose is fragrant, but rather discreet at first. It expresses minty, sappy notes, a fresh and straight fruitiness (red cherry, blueberry, blackcurrant, fresh wood, fresh rose, raspberry), peony, a touch of roasted cherry and roasted herbs, smoke and toast. The palate first expresses the toasted, roasted and smoked hints which then combines with flavors of red cherry, blackcurrant, roasted morello cherry and blackberry in the mid-palate. The tannins are sapid, but grippy on the finish. Good persistence, on the tangy, woody and spicy touch. The finish is concentrated, fresh, juicy, with a slight bitterness of coffee and toast, as well as a herbaceous touch of dried mint.
