Château de Roquebrune – Cuvée Reine 2020, Lalande-de-Pomerol

Château de Roquebrune – Cuvée Reine 2020, Lalande-de-Pomerol

On the nose, fruity, discreetly tight and offers a little concentration, a subtle lingering finish with a floral edge. It reveals notes of pulpy/fresh blackcurrant, fresh lily/blueberry, notes of varietal associated with a variety of fresh red berries, fine zan, spice and a discreet hint of pepper in the background. On the palate fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, a little gourmandize, a fine acidic frame and a little richness with a fine contained power. The wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, fresh blackcurrant and hints of fresh floral notes combined with small varietal touches as well as small touches of fleshy black berries and fresh tobacco, zan, and a discreet nuance of pepper. Good length. The tannins are finely marked and offer a little straightforwardness.
