Château de Rayne Vigneau – Le Grand Vin Blanc Sec 2024 – Bordeaux Blanc

The nose is closed at first and requires aeration to open up. It then expresses notes of tangy apricot, green apple, lemon, a hint of grapefruit, white flowers (acacia, linden), fresh butter, lemon yogurt, vanilla in the background, fresh wood, fresh hazelnut and toasted hazelnut. Aeration also reveals a gourmet note of chestnut honey and roasted apricot with thyme. The palate is open and savory, with a good bitterness of chestnut honey and grapefruit. There are also flavors of crushed lemon, blood orange in the background, green apple, as well as vanilla, toasted hazelnut in the background, linden and acacia. The finish is chiseled, tangy and salivating, with good persistence and sapidity. Good structure and concentration of freshness.
