Château de Rayne Vigneau 2018 – Sauternes

The nose is fruity, fresh, chased and offers minerality, a fine intensity as well as freshness. It reveals notes of fresh lemon, fresh/ripe zests and small notes of green apple associated with touches of verbena, acacia, fresh pineapple, fine hints of massepain as well as a discreet hint of linden/eucalyptus and an imperceptible hint of toasted.The palate is fruity, fresh, well-balanced, precise, frank and offers a racy minerality, tension, juiciness, elegance as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe lemon, ripe/candied vine peach and small notes of pineapple associated with touches of mandarine, zests, subtle hints of juicy Mirabelle, mango as well as an imperceptible hint of massepain and toasted. There is a fine hint of lemon meringue pie on the finish/persistence.
