Château de Pressac 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is beautifully conducted, supple, fine and precise at the same time. Complexity, an airy side in its power as well as a lovely racy grain. We find notes of concentrated black blackberry, morello cherry and small notes of wild raspberry associated with touches of liquorice stick, almost a side of rosemary/roasted aromatic herbs, infusion, black tea as well as fine hints of black pepper and dark chocolate. The palate is fruity and offers elegance, pulpiness, a certain purity of fruit, a nice definition and a certain width, power in accuracy. It expresses notes of blackberry, black plum and crushed blackcurrant associated with touches of roasted red berries, chocolate, as well as fine hints of blueberry, cornflower, infusion, sweet blond tobacco and a hint of vanilla pod, sage and black olive. Tannins are mellow, gourmand and chewy.
