Château de Pressac 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose offers power, intensity (full of control), a fine grain and a certain concentration. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, small wild blue fruits and small notes of pepper associated with touches of spices, small crushed red berries as well as small hints of sense of the place/cypress, vanilla, cocoa and nutmeg. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, finely tight and offers a fine acidulous frame, juiciness, gourmandize, tension as well as power (full of finesse). On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, juicy plum and small notes of small crushed red berries associated with touches of liquorice stick, graphite, pepper, vanilla hint and toasted almond. Tannins are well-built. A persistence on notes of chocolate and very fine hints of caramelization.
