The nose is fruity, slightly tight and reveals some concentration. There are notes of fresh/chunky blackcurrant, crushed raspberry and more lightly crushed plum combined with hints of violet as well as hints of fleshy red berries and a discreet touch of nutmeg. The palate is nicely juicy and reveals a nice freshness, precision, some small density and a nice brightness of fruit. On the palate this wine expresses juicy raspberry, crushed redcurrant and slightly plummy notes as well as fine hints of violet, lilac, racy minerality and fine hints of toasted almond and a subtle hint of caramelisation. Fine hints of crushed almonds and a fine, almost saline edge in the background.
