Château de Montalbret 2020 – Montagne Saint-Emilion 

The nose is fruity and offers a small concentration, a fine grain, a fine power as well as a certain intensity, a small stretchy side. It reveals notes of Boysen berry, pulpy violet plum, small notes of bright wild redcurrant, lily associated with small touches of small wild fruits, fine hints of grey pepper and a discreet hint of nutmeg. The nose is fruity and offers minerality, freshness, a good definition, a small creaminess, a certain gourmandize, minerality and a certain tension/straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/creamy blackberry, crushed cassis, small notes of Badiane, cherry, small crushed black berries as well as fine hints of camphor, dark chocolate, hazelnut and black tea. Good length.
