The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is fruity, juicy, aromatic and concentrated. It expresses notes of tart red cherry, morello cherry, crushed raspberry, fresh red currant, red plum and blackcurrant in the background, combined with gourmand and distinct, but not dominant, spicy aromas (black pepper, dried licorice, grated nutmeg, ground cumin), combined with a pleasant herbal side (peppermint, a hint of rosemary and pine needles), as well as gourmet and sweet touches of peony, chocolate morello cherry, cocoa and toasted hazelnut. There is also a slight balsamic note. The palate is gourmet and tangy, with a juicy and enveloping fruity material, while remaining fresh. It expresses notes of sour red cherry, morello cherry, raspberry, cranberries, red currants, as well as sweet spices (liquorice, black pepper, ground cloves), herbs (dried mint, dried rosemary, a hint of pine needles), roasting (toasted hazelnut, cocoa with a good bitterness) and flowers in the background (dried cornflower, peony). The tannins have a fine grain, a solid and gripping structure, with a hint of bitterness. The finish is persistent, sapid, with a certain breadth and juiciness of fruits, which bring a lot of flavors and chew on the persistence. Beautiful acidity and bitterness.
