The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is textured, gourmand, complex and offers depth in freshness. We find a tasty spicy side (white pepper, nutmeg, liquorice, even star anise), refreshing menthol and resinous notes (peppermint, fresh pine needles, pine sap in the background, fresh tobacco), a fine floral bouquet (cornflower, lily, a hint of violet), delicate roasting notes (toasted, a hint of smoke and coffee), wrapped in a juicy and fresh fruity material (red cherry, strawberry, crushed raspberry, a hint of morello cherry, blackcurrant and bird cherry). The palate is fruity, juicy, concentrated and airy. It expresses the flavors of morello cherry, sour red cherry, raspberry, fresh strawberry, blackcurrant and a tannic hint of bird cherry, associated with notes of liquorice, white pepper, nutmeg and cumin, aromatic herbs (dried mint, fresh peppermint, rosemary), a touch of pine needles, tobacco, as well as smoke in the background and toasted hazelnut. There are also delicate notes of cornflower and violet. The finish is persistent, tannic and slightly bitter (on notes of bird cherry and cocoa). The tannins are well structured, solid and enveloping, of a medium grain, integrated into the fruity material. Lively salivating acidity and good persistence.
