Château de Meursault, Pommard Clos de la Platière 2022 – Pommard

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is reserved – the wine requires aeration. It then expresses mineral notes (clay, associated with a hint of limestone and slightly saline), tangy fruits (red cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry), associated with sweet and gourmet notes of ripe morello cherry and raspberry coulis. We also find gourmet hints of cocoa, vanilla, liquorice and nutmeg, as well as a refreshing herbaceous side (fresh mint, a touch of eucalyptus and pine needles) and a floral touch of dried cornflower. The palate offers accuracy, firmness, solid and slightly grippy tannins, precision and a certain complexity. It expresses notes of tart red cherry, morello cherry, fresh strawberry, crushed raspberry, blackcurrant, as well as a herbaceous and menthol side (fresh mint, eucalyptus), touches of sweet spices (liquorice, vanilla, white pepper, a hint of cumin) and roasting (coffee with a good bitterness, toasted almond). The finish is tasty, juicy and tangy, with a mineral touch. Good persistence, freshness, complexity, power and finesse.
