Château de Malleret 2022 – Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel

Château de Malleret 2022 – Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel

The nose is generous and concentrated. It offers notes of ripe black and red fruits (juicy blackcurrant, wild blackberry, blueberry jam, morello cherry, wild strawberry, roasted red cherry), combined with spicy notes of white pepper, licorice, cloves, wild mint and peony. On the palate, the wine is velvety, very fruity. It expresses flavors of crunchy morello cherry, wild strawberry, red cherry, black plum and blackberry, complemented by smoky and toasted notes, with elegant touches of vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. The tannic texture is firm, but silky – the wine has good structure and persistence. The tannins are firm, but not drying – they are enveloped in a deep and generous fruity substance. Velvet and power, a supple but fresh acidity. Very nice balance and good aging potential.
